Today I’m pretty close to being convinced of taking part of The Great Ski Race. Stef is doing it for sure, seeing as how she’s a good skier and has done it before. I’ve only been cross country skiing about 7 or 8 times, but I think that I can make it to the finish line.
Yeah, I’m not racing against anyone but myself (and maybe Stef, but don’t tell her I wrote this!). Finishing the race would be a pretty big accomplishment for a novice skier as myself. And today we went and skied for about 3 hours, and went 25km (15 miles)! The race is a little bit longer than that, but I think I could make it. It’s not going to be pretty at the finish line, but who cares?
The race is next weekend, so check back sometime after next week to find out if I ran it or not!

In other sport-related “news”, I’m still going to the gym at least twice a week, and I think I’m starting to show it. I definitely feel stronger, and my numbers are still going up -a little bit slower than at first, but still steadily.
I usually go Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I don’t go on the weekends because Sundays are volleyball league days :) And once the season ends, Sundays will go back to being soccer at UNR days. In other words, Sundays are physical excercise days, but instead of being at the gym, I’m playing a sport.
